Boys Night at Candide

(New York, NY, March 25, 2008) New York City Opera is proud to open its doors for its inaugural Boys Night, a social event for gay men, on Friday, April 11,starting at 6:45 PM for an evening of cocktails, light fare and entertainment when Leonard Bernstein’s Candide takes over the stage at the New York State Theater.

Harold Prince's legendary production returns to New York City Opera this April for fourteen performances only. Jersey Boys' star Daniel Reichard sings Candide, the original mindless optimist. Banished, beaten and left for dead, robbed of his earthly possessions, and repeatedly separated from his one true love, Candide never falters in his belief that "all's for the best in this best of all possible worlds."
